Water Heater

A good water heater is worth its weight in gold.  Most water heaters have a 10 year lifespan, when combined with a water softener.  Columbia's hard water creates scale and sediment that reduces the life of your water heater.  Installation of a water softener helps preserve your water heater and also makes your showers and baths more enjoyable.

Toilet/Stool

A toilet that doesn’t work properly can use thousands of gallons of wasted water each year.  If you have a sudden jump in your water bill, check for running toilet.  A toilet repair will reduce your bill in  no time. We can assess your situation and either repair your existing stool or replace it  with the right model that is guaranteed to flush properly, and  fits your budget as well as your needs.

Reverse Osmosis Systems

Up to eight glasses of water a day is the recommendation for adults to stay hydrated. Are you concerned about the quality of the water from your faucet? Do you buy bottled water? Consider investing in a reverse osmosis system we can install under the kitchen sink to remove chemicals, heavy metals, sediment, and other contaminates. A modest investment in your health will provide you and your family with healthy drinking water.

Chlorine Filters

Although chlorine has kept America's water supply safe for the past century, when it is used as a water treatment, it can form byproduct compounds called Trihalomethanes (THMs). New studies are raising concerns about consumption of THMs by drinking chlorinated water and other household uses of hot tap water such as showering and dish washing which are shown to result in even greater THM absorption than simply drinking the water. A chlorine filter will remove the THMs from your home and improve the quality of your water.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling

Studies show kitchen or bathroom remodeling can help improve the value of your home.  According to US News and World Report even a minor kitchen remodel can yield an 82.7% return on your investment.

Remodeling projects can range from simple to extensive, and depending on your needs and wants, you may be surprised to find what you can do and still stay within your budget. We can meet all your plumbing remodeling needs and if you would like to consider more extensive remodeling projects, we can recommend a number of reputable, reasonable, and experienced remodeling contractors who can submit bids and estimates for your consideration.

Outside Hoses

Always disconnect your garden hose before the temperature drops below freezing or I’ll be seeing you to replace your outside faucet/hydrant.

Fixture

New fixtures can add elegance and revitalize a bathroom or kitchen. We recommend Delta and Moen fixtures, due to their reliability and appearance. We like these two companies because their warranty and parts service are exceptional.

Garbage Disposal

Number one tip: don’t use your garbage disposal for a trash can or you’ll be calling me often! Garbage disposals are useful for scraping small bits from your dishes but were not intended to be a garbage can in a sink. A better place for your potato peels and chunky food refuse is in a compost bin or your kitchen trash can.

Water Softener

While Boone County enjoys plentiful and good quality water, we have what is termed “hard water” or water that has a high mineral content. While hard water is not detrimental to health, it can interfere with long-term viability of water heaters due to sediment, and cause low suds when soap is added to water which decreases the ability to cleanse effectively. Water softeners can make a shower or bath a more pleasurable experience, as well as increase the efficiency of your washing machine and dishwashers and help you save on soap costs, as you’ll use less soap when a water softener is installed in your home.

Gas Line

We can either repair or install gas lines to any gas appliance. Have you run out of propane lately? Check your grill to see if it will accommodate a gas line and you can join the ranks of customers who never have to run out to fill up a gas canister at the last minute. Is it chilly in your family room in the winter, but you don’t want to have the hassle of starting a wood fire? Call us for an estimate on converting your fireplace to gas.
